At Family Time Capsules, it’s the photos of you two on your wedding day, the family photos of your kids from birth throughout all the little moments of their growing up. It’s the pictures on the mantle of the big moments, but also the small, sweet, intimate moments. At my core, I am a storyteller. I don’t passively capture family photos or use a rote formula for conducting on-camera interviews. Instead, I actively curate a family legacy.

Hi, I’m Lesly
your resident Family Legacy Curator
Before becoming a mom, I was already lecturing my future kids when I was 17 years old. When I was in high school, I filmed a video of myself.
“If you're listening to this, it’s because you refuse to take my advice as an adult,” I said (in my best mom voice.) “So, here’s the advice I’m giving you as a 17-year old.” What followed was a juicy monologue on my life at the moment, delivered straight to my future kids. I covered it all, from friends to boys to pop quizzes to prom.
I knew that someday, the video that I created would help my own kids navigate a tough day at high school. Moreover, my kids and future grandkids will never have to wonder what their family matriarch was like when she was a young adult. All they’ll have to do is press play.
Storytelling has been the thread that unites every project I’ve taken on, in my personal life as well as my professional one. When I’m not snapping photos or editing digital content, I’m asking questions and uncovering the essence of anyone I meet. It’s this thread that inspired me to be a photographer and now, a family legacy curator through my work with Family Time Capsules.
All photographers say that they can put people at ease in front of the camera — but I deliver on that promise. My natural gift for storytelling and my extensive background in digital media has made me an expert in curating stories.
